Patriotism

Our Patriotic Service programs focus on promoting respect for the people, places and events that led to the formation of our county and inspiring the patriotism of our fellow citizens. The National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the State of Maryland is active with the Congressional Seminar Essay Contest, donations to Veterans at Baltimore Veterans Administration Medical Center and Wreaths Across America.

The Dames’ Salute to the Flag

To the Glory of God and in grateful remembrance of those, our ancestors, who through evil report and loss of fortune, through suffering and death, maintained stout hearts and laid the foundation of our country, we, the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the State of Maryland pledge our loyal and affectionate allegiance to the Flag.
